About

Genesis

An independent training company in Abu Dhabi, built around one conviction: that RCM professionals are where reimbursement reform succeeds or fails.

What we do

Healthcare revenue cycle training, taught properly.

Genesis trains medical coders and revenue cycle teams on the Abu Dhabi Outpatient Classification (ADOC) and the reimbursement frameworks they need to work accurately.

Our programmes are built from official, published source documents: definitions manuals, counting rules, claims and adjudication rules, service codes and price lists, and submission and validation specifications. Where those documents disagree with each other, the programme says so and teaches the safer reading.

Nothing in the material is invented. Every rule taught, every scenario marked and every exam item cites the section it comes from, so a disputed answer can be settled against the source rather than against an instructor’s opinion.

Where we stand

  • Independent. Genesis is not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for the Department of Health, Abu Dhabi.
  • Versioned. Training reflects the latest ADOC version at the time of training and is reissued when DoH publishes a new major version.
  • Sourced. Every rule cites the DoH document and section it comes from.
  • Practical. Every programme is built around classifying real cases against the manual, not memorising theory.

How we teach

Three things we insist on.

01

Open manual

The exam is open-book because coding is. We train people to navigate the Definitions Manual at speed, not to memorise 128 class names they will misremember under pressure.

02

Cases, not slides

Hands-on classification against realistic encounters runs through every session rather than sitting in a separate slot, plus 555 scenarios you can work through on your own.

03

Reasons, not scores

Every wrong answer comes back with the rule that governs it and the section number. A mark you cannot explain teaches nothing.

After certification

Shadow billing is the rehearsal. Use it.

Certification is a beginning. During shadow billing, certified coders should be paired with a monthly internal audit loop: sample ADOC claims, measure class-assignment and counting accuracy, and feed the error patterns back into refresher huddles.

That is the loop your own claims will be audited against, and it addresses the lesson of the IR-DRG transition, where denial rates of 15–20% in the first two years were driven largely by coder inexperience.

Talk to us about a cohort

We run open cohorts and in-house cohorts for facilities that want their whole coding department trained together on their own schedule.
